5 Tips For Planning A Wedding During Covid 19
Just thinking about your upcoming wedding in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic might seem like something you can’t quite wrap your head around.
While none of us know exactly what the future looks like, we do know that it will only do you good to have something fun and positive to look forward to.
To help you out and to keep you inspired, we’ve put together seven tips to help plan your 2020 & 2021 weddings!
1. Create a Vision Board
This is a great way to get you amped up for your big day. If you have extra time on your hands why not get your hands dirty, and use cut-outs, photos, and images to create an old school collage? Or, if you're a modern couple at heart Pinterest has everything you need to create virtual boards for cake ideas, flowers, decor, and more.
2. Plan As A Couple
This time can be extremely stressful for the both of you. Why not make it something fun an enjoyable? Listen to your wedding song playlist and have a planning night!
3. Create an Essential Guest List
As none of us really know when things will go back to normal, and how travel will continue to be impacted, it might be a good idea to create a small wedding list of essential guests. It’s also important to be aware of your guests’ feelings around future travel, and understand if some guests choose not to attend the wedding. Depending on the circumstances, you can always increase your guest list later down the line.
4. Book Vendors Quickly
As many couples have postponed their weddings this for later on this year or next, this means there is to be double the amount of weddings taking place. Popular venues, photographers, florists, and caterers are likely to be booked up quickly, so once you’ve decided, lock down your chosen suppliers as soon as you can.
5. Remember that everything is “figureoutable”
It's one of my core values and what helps me get through whatever I’m dealing with. Whenever you're feeling overwhelmed we want you to take a deep breath and remember: Everything is figureoutable.
This moment in time won't last forever. We will get through it. We will come out stronger. And we will all tell our grand-kids about that crazy, pandemic that made 2020 a wild ride!
I hope that the above tips offer some help and inspiration when planning your wedding during these uncertain and difficult times. Remember that weddings are wonderful occasions that so many of your guests will look forward to when life returns back to normal. Stay motivated, inspired and keep safe!
